History
Rev. James E. Allen was the senior pastor of a traditional Baptist Church for 7 years beginning in July of 1991 at the age of 23 years old. Being
the youngest pastor in church history, it became evident early on that
the contemporary leadership style exhibited by Rev. Allen was different
from anything ever experienced in the 80 year history of the church. Rev. Allen’s leadership focused on “stepping outside of the box
in worship, the teaching of the word of God, following the leading of
the Holy Spirit, and creating an environment where people were free to
experience the presence of God. In the process of
time, it became clear that God was leading the ministry in a direction
different from where some of the membership wanted to go.
Therefore on October 1, 1998, Rev. James E. Allen along with approximately 150 others gathered for the first service of the newly established Macedonia Christian Ministries.
Rev. Allen was given the vision to establish a non-traditional,
non-denominational ministry where people could worship God as prescribed
in His word, be taught the word of God, follow the leading of the Holy
Spirit, and be free to experience the presence of God in every service.
Additionally, the focus would be to establish a Bible-based, Word
Oriented ministry, focused on the spiritual growth of the people of God,
in order to equip them to do the work of God. This new ministry would
enable him to do all of these things without the barriers and dictates
of denomination and tradition.
Since it’s organization, Macedonia Christian Ministries
has experienced tremendous success in attaining the goals of Rev.
Allen’s vision. The ministry has grown at an astonishing rate in
membership and ministries that are offered:
- 8:00 & 11:00 A.M. Worship Services

It
is accurate to say that the ministry’s growth has exceeded even his
expectations; having established a ministry that ministers to the “whole
man. In addition to all the above ministries,
classes on Exercise & Nutritional Awareness and Financial Planning
& Stability have been a part of the programs offered to members.
Also, the outreach programs have expanded to include a non-profit organization, Dominion Outreach Christian Ministries under which an Assisted Living Facility, Men’s & Women’s Ministry have been established. The addition of these programs is just the start for many future endeavors of Macedonia Christian Ministries.
The mission as before stated, for the people of God to do the work of God. The work of God entails building and establishing a community for God. The
building of this community includes the procurement of property/land in
order to build housing, businesses, etc. in order to create an
environment wherein people are secure and in control of their community.
