What to Expect

Walking into a new place for the first time can sometimes be uncomfortable. We put this page together to help you know what to expect when you arrive at Citadel of Praise and hopefully put you at ease.

What will the experience be like?
The service experiences at Citadel include worship music and a message. We'll also throw in some media and lights just to keep things interesting. The music is led by a worship leader along with a live band featuring contemporary and traditional music. The message is always focused on addressing the real issues that real people face in their daily lives. You can expect to be both encouraged and challenged by Pastor Spencer or one of the other teaching ministers. Our Sunday service lasts for approximately 90 minutes. You will find a friendly environment where everyone is welcomed.

How early should I get there?
Plan on arriving to church at least 15 minutes before the service starts. That will give you time to park, take your kids to Children's Ministry (10:00 a.m. or 12:00 noon services) before service begins. Then you'll want to make sure you get into the auditorium before the music starts. We'll give you a heads up when we're about to begin.

What should I wear?
Citadel has a pretty diverse group of people attending. We've never brought up the topic of 'what to wear' at church. People just come as they are - and that's the way we like it. Suits or dresses, collar and slacks, t-shirt and jeans - just wear what you want. We encourage you to dress comfortable while honoring God. Our Pastor and leaders dress casual during the summer months.

Where to Park:
Citadel has two parking lots and plenty of street parking. All parking is monitored by paid security staff. Overflow parking is available on the grass where our church sign sits.

What about my children?
Citadel is a family-friendly environment. We believe that children are a blessing from God and should be taught about God and his plan for the world in a fun learning environment. We offer Children's Ministry on Sunday during our 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon services.

Can I invite my friends?
