The Sunday After Part II

Two weeks ago, April 21st the world paused to pay homage and to at least acknowledge the resurrection of our Savior.  Many have moved on to business as usual on Wall Street and in the church.  However, Resurrection Day is not limited to a day on the calendar.  The Apostle Paul teaches us in Philippians 3:10-11, “I want to know Christ-yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.” NIV

For him the resurrection was the basis and impetus for his life daily.  Likewise let us not store Resurrection Day into the religious packaging of an annual holiday.  We must face each moment of our lives with a passionate awareness that the power that raised our Savior from the dead, is alive within each of us.  Is it your desire to “know the power of his resurrection?”  If so, prepare to “participate in his sufferings and to experience the death of your flesh, fears and failures.  It is only then that you will truly walk in victory in your “Sunday After”.
