Dorothy R. Aniton is the oldest of six children born to the late Reverend Edward and Mrs. Ruth Rigby who resided in Gadsden, Alabama. Wife of Reverend Emmett S. Aniton, Jr. and mother of three: Mrs. Rhonda Aniton Bell, Emmett S. Aniton, III. and Mrs. Keisha Aniton Simmons (Derrick).

  •     Attended Gadsden Public Schools in Gadsden, Alabama
  •     Graduated from Carver High School 1959 (Valedictorian)
  •     Attended Alabama A & M University: Huntsville, Alabama
  •     Received Bachelor of Science Degree 1963 (Cum Laude) from Jacksonville State University: Jacksonville, Alabama
  •     Received Master's Degree in Education (with Honors)
  •     Retired English/Literature Educator.
