Minister Steven "MusicMan" Turner has distinguished himself as a long time community activist and Chairman of: The Roots of Scouting's Membership Committee.
 
His "Praise Unlimited Christian Jazz Band", most recently performed at our: "Pre-Father's Day Jazz Concert" & Fundraiser at the church of St. Cecilia's on Saturday, June 16th. 2012.
 
He has spearheaded numeorus efforts to feed and clothe the Homeless, thru his Ministry, "Praise Unlimited Ministries" Annual Christian Community Concert: "Praise Power 2009 / 2010, "Spiritual Awakenings Anti-Diabetes Awareness & Ministers of Music Appreciation Parties and expand "Boy Scouting" programs in our community.
 
For a time, he served as a  Paid Professional (District Executive of the Johns Hopkins District), for the Baltimore Area Council Boy Scouts of America, and was honored within his 1st. 15 days of appointment with a National Quality District Award.
 
His 5 years of service as a member of the Baltimore City Police Dept., 7 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and countless "Special Law Enforcement Trainings: MOTC - Enhanced Instructor Courses, MPTC - BCPD. Police Academy, CJIS - Techniques of Fingerprinting, FBI - Fingerprint Academy, has strenghtened his ability to be both tough and compassionate.
 
He has served in assisting many citizens who were: on DSS, Homeless, Displaced Workers, Veterans, & Ex-Felons find gainful employment thru his time as an Employment Specialist with: Mayor's Office of Employment Devleopment (OED), The East Baltimore Community Development's ( G.A.T.E.) program & EDEN Jobs.
 
I can think of no one who better personifies the mission of: "Serving and protecting" our communities than Rev. Steve Turner.
