Apostle Tymel S. Thompson is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He matriculated and graduated from Medgar Evers College Preparatory School in Brooklyn, New York. Having been called to the ministry at an early age, he has served in diverse capacities of ministry: Minister of Music, Minister, liturgical dance and worship leader, under the tutelage of his biological grandmother, Apostle Anna B. Thompson, Senior Pastor of The New Greater Refuge Temple Ministries, Inc. of Brooklyn, New York, displaying the epitome of solidity and commitment.
On April 13, 2005, he was affirmed as a Prophet in the Lord’s church and was launched into his crusade ministry known as the New Life International Ministry which subsequently flourished into his first congregation known as the Greater New Life International Ministries – The place where new life begins and a second chance is given.
As time progressed, Apostle Tymel S. Thompson would serve under the leadership of his Apostolic father, Apostle J. Shawn Urquhart, Chief Apostle and Presiding Prelate of Holy Temple Covenant Fellowship of Churches International of Philadelphia. There he was elevated to the office of Pastor, Overseer and Apostle. During this time, he held the position of General Overseer of the Youth Adults.
With over seventeen years in ministry, Apostle Tymel S. Thompson’s experience has resulted in a true passion to disciple others in love and to exemplify an open and honest relationship with God. Apostle Thompson is an awesome teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His transparency, in teaching biblical truths and using his life as an example, is for the purpose of assisting other believers in developing a susceptibility and transparency with God, which leads to unparalleled intimacy and relationship.
