Rev. Sylvester Adams grew up in a Christian home, where acts of love, discipline, and reverence for God were instilled in the hearts of the children by caring parents. From an early age, he had an inclination to follow the teachings of his personal Saviour, Jesus Christ. Rev. Adams is careful to let his walk match his talk.
He is a native of Jackson, Alabama, and a product of the Clarke County School System. His postsecondary education includes graduation from the Welding program at Carver State Technical College, Seminary courses at Cedar Grove Academy, courses in the local, state, and national conventions. He is a certified instructor for the Mobile Baptist Sunlight District Association.
Rev. Adams progressed through the ranks of Christian service after becoming a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Prichard, Alabama. He was an Usher, Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Associate Minister, and, currently, the Pastor of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for the past twenty-four years. He is quite familiar with the tasks of the foot soldier in the Christian army.
Rev. Sylvester Adams is married to the love of his life, Earline Adams, and they have one daughter, Devon.
