Arts

A Worship ministry doing mime and artistic interpretations expressing the Biblical story in a great way to get children, youth and our adults involved in worship through praise dance and arts (plays). 

Greeters

This is a worship ministry that meets the people when they first enter into the outer area of the church. The goal is to make the people glad they are coming to       worship with us and to enjoy the spiritual moment with our church family.

Media

A worship ministry for the purpose of outreach and evangelism by providing services related to the audio, visual, print, photography, radio and telecommunications (Streaming and Web) of the service.

Music

This is a worship ministry that God has richly blessed to lead our music and praise worship at LHMBC. Included are singers and musicians who devotedly make an      offering of their talents to the best of their ability on every occasion they are called to present God's message through song and praise. Singing aggregations consist of children, youth and adults.

 

Nursery

This worship ministry serves the parents of our congregation with children ages 3 months to 4 years.  The children are carefully cared for and entertained with Bible stories, songs, crafts, and educational toys while their parents worship.

Nurses

A worship ministry to serve as humanitarians in the church, to give urgent First Aid, basic nursing care, and family health. To monitor the health of the worship        experience and provide medical attention during the worship service or during any other church function (as requested), in response to medical emergencies.

Transportation

This Worship ministry's mission is to provide shuttle and van transportation to and from the church worship experience. Our transportation services are handicap accessible.

Ushers

A worship ministry whose primary purpose is to direct the flow of worshippers into and out of the sanctuary with order and grace, always mindful of being servants of the Lord. To make our new guest and visitors feel welcome who want to be fed the Word of God without interruption or confusion. The Usher ministry consists of the senior adults and youth in the church.

Youth

This is a worship ministry that serves as a great foundation for the future of the church because what is integral to youth ministry is integral to the Church's future. Our  student ministry exists both to draw in non-believing  students (witness) and send them out to do God's work (missional). In between we want them to get connected to each other and attached to the vine in discipleship to Christ (holistic).

Their focuses on assisting new members get acclimated into the LHMBC worship and ministry experience. This task is achieved by the ongoing communication by volunteer callers making telephone contacts with the members and providing fellowship opportunities for members to get to know one another in the congregation. Encourages members to disciple the unchurched to become members of the kingdom of God.

Bible Study

This Christian Education experience is a weekly study group focusing on teaching our members the discipline of knowing God's Word and its meaning for their lives. Study material usually is based on selected books and articles along with the Word-the Bible!

New Members

The mission of this team is to intake new members to our church family and makes them feel a part of this body of believers. Their focus is on assisting members into a small group or a volunteer ministry that enhances their own spiritual gift. This task is achieved by the ongoing communication by volunteer callers making telephone contacts with the members.

 Small Groups

This Christian Education Ministry's ultimate goal is to encourage a stronger relationship with Christ through discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and evangelism. To create an environment for real friendships to form, for relationships to build, and for people to experience community.  It allows you to be part of a smaller closer family that makes you feel at home among so many believers.

 

Small Groups also create a safe place for people to feel comfortable asking for prayer and having questions. Comfortable also with being honest, transparent, and vulnerable enough to discuss the real life struggles we all face while trying to walk out our faith.

 

We know how important it is to find a place to minister and a smaller group of people to get to know.  Our goal is just to help you feel a part of the family and provide godly instruction.

Sunday School       

This Christian Education ministry provides biblically   inspired educational opportunities for the congregation.  Programs, strategies and Biblical principles to live by are developed to help people learn more about God and His ways with the end result being practical living relevant to the life and life styles for today's Christian. Developing disciples for missional service to the community.

Vacation Bible School

This is an intergenerational study period that connects children and adults to Jesus during a fun-filled week in the summer, full of Bible based activities and hands-on-learning. All are welcome-toddlers through adults.

Adam & Eve Marriage

This is our In-House ministry serving those who are married and those planning on marriage with education, fellowship, and nurture for the edification of Christian relationship between husband and wife.

Men

A church In-house ministry for the spiritual empowerment, education, and fellowship for men. This ministry is designed to help our men come to the reality of who Christ is so that Christ can meet his needs, deal with his wants and heal any wounds that are at the center of his life. If you are ready to look deeper into how the Word can impact your life as a man, to involve yourself in our fellowship opportunities and outreach service, join us and check out the opportunities   offered through this ministry.

Deacons

This is an In-House ministry that serves God, the congregation, and with the pastor by conducting the caring ministry of the church during benevolence work, visiting the sick, being alert to the spiritual needs of the congregation for the purpose of freeing the pastoral staff to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word, promoting unity within the church and facilitating the spread of the gospel.

Deacons & Ministers Wives

The mission of the wives of our deacons and ministers in this In-House Ministry is to enhance the quality of lives through their service to God, by ministering inside and outside the walls of the church and being spiritual leaders to the women of the church. The goal is just to help you feel a part of the family and provide godly instruction.

Forever Young

This In-House ministry serves the senior adults of the church and the community. The coordinators for this group schedule events and day trips that allow our  seniors to do many of the things and see many of the places that they never had time to do, see, or visit before.

God's Half

This is an In-House ministry whose ministry is to serve others. God's Head Arms Legs Feet in service to the church and to the community, a continuing commitment on the part of our church to become an ever increasing part of our community through service. It is LHMBC volunteers progressing as a group toward a common goal which is building a better community.

God's Runners

This is an In-House ministry that plans and provides recreation opportunities and fellowship for those who are athletically inclined in various outdoor sports.

 

Hospitality

This is an In-House ministry that provides assistance to the ministries and members of the church by providing refreshments and preparing food for bereaved families, special church events and special guests.

Intercessory Prayer

This is an In-House ministry praying and lifting up the Pastor and special needs of our families with the real hope and real intent that God will step in and act for the good of the individual or the family that is in need. They carry out the mission daily on our phone line that reaches beyond the church walls into the community and nation.

Shiloh

This is our church In-House ministry serving in the role as historian for the church, tracking and planning key events, and our history. This ministry consist of the Church Events Committee who plan our key event concerning the church, the R D Wess Committee who plan our key event for celebrating our youth and young adults in education and scholarship, The Community Day Committee who plan and carry out the activities celebrating families and finally, the Pastoral Review Committee that works with the Pastor to assure the vision he has for the body comes to fruition.

Trustees

This is an In-House ministry that serves as the maintenance and management team of the church. They are to oversee the church property to assure that it is properly maintained to provide an atmosphere conducive to the spiritual growth of our members. The ministry areas of responsibility include: legal matters, insurance, property & equipment, bequests, financial and investment, and strategic planning.

Women

This is our In-House ministry for women of all ages. This is a ministry for women who strive for excellence and worthiness in Christ, in life, in family, in career, and in church. The mission of the women of LHMBC is to assist you to become a part of our church family and a stronger disciple of Jesus Christ. We know how important it is to find a place to minister and a smaller group of people to get to know.  Our goal is just to help you feel a part of the family and provide godly instruction.

Young Adult

The purpose of this In-House ministry is to nurture Christians by addressing issues and concerns of young Christian adults and provide a bridge over so that       teenagers can transition into adulthood. The Young Adult Ministry is to put people in contact with other people and programs that respond to their needs; (i.e. Single Young Adults).

This mission ministry serves the children of parents who are incarcerated using this opportunity to share Christ's love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of inmates.

Boy Scouts  

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.  Being a Cub Scout you will have lots of fun, adventure, and activities with your den and pack.

You are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs and is more than something to do; it's all about the boy you are and the person you will become.

Bread & Thread

This mission ministry of women equipped for service through the utilizing of gifts of the culinary arts, quilting, and other needlework art. Their focus is on serving those who are suffering and struggling with physical challenges in their families and individually through their gifts.

Christos Prison

This outreach ministry serves the brothers and sisters behind the walls through ministering to their holistic needs through prayer, witnessing and the Word of God.

 Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts mission is involving young girls 9-17 years of age in the experience of scouting within our Christian environment. The Girl Scout program can change the way girls see the world and their place in it. Girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the thrill of accomplishment.

Troas

This is a mission ministry serving to partner with and give support to local and international mission efforts. This ministry is spiritually and holistically engaged in bringing hope to the masses of the dispossessed and   disenfranchised around the world.

Meets the physical needs of individuals and families by providing hot meals in a restaurant style setting and transporting hot meals to members of the local community. Services & Activities Include:

Lincoln Heights Outreach Enrichment Program
A year-round program for students K-5 in the Lincoln Heights, Lockland, Woodlawn, and surrounding areas. The mission of the program is to support academic achievement, encourage character development and expose students to the fine arts. The Education Component comprises two programs:

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM:

Monday through Friday: 4PM - 7PM at Lincoln Heights Elementary School.

SUMMER PROGRAM (Camp HOPE Cincy):

Monday through Friday, 8AM until 3PM at Lincoln Heights Elementary School. 

 

 

 

 

Clothing Closet

Providing clothing, shoes and toiletry essentials, in a discrete manner at no charge.

Hours of operation:

Thursday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
