The MCM Praise Team

We come to praise God and give Him all the glory. Praise is an expression of heartfelt gratitude and thanksgiving to God for all that He has done for us. Worship is the highest form of praise. When we praise God, we are going beyond the thoughts of all His wonderful blessings to us, we are expressing our admiration and commending God Himself for His character and perfection. The Praise Team is commending God Himself for His character and perfection. The Praise Team is ministering to God for who He is and not just for what He has done for us. We serve a mighty God!! The Praise Team encourages the congregation to actively participate in all the praise and worship service. We have so much to be thankful for. We need to praise the Lord until His Glory fills the sanctuary.

In worship service, as we lift our hands, it is a sign of sacrifice and surrender. We must surrender all personal desires, ambitions, and plans to enter into real worship. God dwells in praise. If our heart is filled with praise, it is filled with God. When we praise God, we are offering an expression of reverence and thanksgiving toward God. During praise and worship service, the Praise Team's main objective is to praise and magnify God. We are not singing to entertain the congregation. Our singing is not man-centered. Our singing is directed to God for His pleasure alone. Hebrews 2:12 states, "...I will declare Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation I will sing praise to you..." It is amazing how the presence of God will reverence God by standing, which is a sign of respect to God for who He is and not just for what He has done for us.

It is important that we prepare our hearts to praise God before we arrive at church. It is impossible to come to God in praise and worship if we are holding anger in our hearts toward others, ourselves, and God. Forgive those who have wronged you and refuse to allow the anger to stay in your heart. As we focus our eyes on Jesus and the promises of His Word, the praises will begin to flow from our hearts to God. Our praises are fulfilling to Him. The benefits are ours. There is victory through praise and worship. We come to praise God with our whole heart, soul, and body.
